SPORTING INFORMATION
Will I still be able to play sports?
|
The short answer is YES, but if your seizures are unpredictable it is as well to have someone with you when doing a sport where you could hurt yourself. |
| For example: swimming. Do not swim alone and inform the lifeguard that sometimes you suffer from seizures. |

Cycling and Horse Riding Avoid riding on busy roads and ALWAYS wear a protective helmet. Think very carefully before taking part in any dangerous sports such as climbing where you could hurt yourself and others if you where to have a seizure. Unfortunately you may find yourself barred from certain sports such as parachuting, scuba diving or motorcycle racing, but don't be put off, there are plenty of other activities available. |
NEVER FEEL YOU CANNOT DO SPORTS! YOU CAN, AND IT'S GOOD FOR YOU.
